Practices & Ethics

As a copywriter, I work with copy for social media on a variety of platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. As an editor, I can also provide insight on fiction and nonfiction prose, academic manuscripts, and marketing copy, though I have a soft spot for children’s fiction and nonfiction.

I am familiar with a variety of styles including narrative prose, argumentative, persuasive, or expository essays, close-reading analysis of a text, and brand-friendly professional copy. Regarding citation styles, I have experience with MLA, APA, and Chicago style. I am quick to adapt to the stylebook of any particular company or agency that I work with.

 As a general rule, I follow basic ethical and moral guidelines. In my correspondence with clients, I strive to be professional, respectful, and courteous. I hold myself accountable for completing work on-time and to the best of my ability. If there are any bumps in the road, I pride myself on being able to communicate with the client and quickly resolve any issues. It is my hope that working with me is a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable process for all parties involved.
